Here’s a crazy thought:

What if Jesus was your undercover boss?

What would happen if Jesus came down to be an undercover boss in your organization?

In your church? Your school? Your home?

Your place of work?  Your local bar?

Would you Fire Jesus?

What if Jesus disguised himself as one of the employees, volunteer workers, administrative staff, member on the Board of Directors etc., at your local church?

What would he discover? Would he be happy with the jobs we are doing?

Would he give us a glowing report? Would he speak to us with compassion and encouragement, like he did to the church at Smyrna, and the church at Philadelphia?

Or would he have some strong words of rebuke and deep dissatisfaction for us, like he did to the church at Sardis, and the church at Laodicea?

What if Jesus just came to hang out with you and/ your friends at your favorite place?

On your favorite websites? The Beach? The Park?
On your sports team?
Your Bedroom?

Will JESUS find those things that are pleasing in His Sight?

John 8:28-29 (KJV) When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things. 29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Matthew 6:3-4 (KJV) 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.

Matthew 10:26-28 (ASV) 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak ye in the light; and what ye hear in the ear, proclaim upon the house-tops. 28 And be not afraid of them that kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Luke 10:21-22 (KJV) 21 In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight. 22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.

Matthew 25:33-46 (KJV) And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me …

Then shall he say also unto them [the goats] on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

The above passage is one the 5 most terrifying passages in the Bible. Why? Mainly because the Goats didn’t know they were Goats. They didn’t take God’s Word and Testimony Seriously. As a result, they played games with God’s Eternal Plan for their Life. Therefore, they did not redeem themselves, their families, friends, their church fellowships, and did not redeem the short amount of time given to them to bring God’s Message of Life to all those appointed to them.

Does this not put a spirit of soberness in your bones?
