Wolves in Church
(Part 1)
Progressive Pastors
Part one, of wolves in the church, or, as Jesus said, wolves in sheep’s clothing, looks at the behind-the-scenes, deceptive, aggressive, and that I say, demonic attack on true biblical faith.
This Pastor did exactly what the serpent did in the garden of Eden, and is still doing today through many such pastors, and you can see the traps, webs, and snares being set and laid in front of an unwitting and ignorant, church, leader, ship, and church body.
One family gives their open, honest and vulnerable testimony about how the ministry of this one false shepherd impacted their own faith and family.
A woman’s experience with a pastor promoting Progressive Christianity while secretly identifying as agnostic and deconstructing faith.
00:03 The pastor secretly promoted Progressive Christianity while claiming to lead a traditional church.
- • The pastor, an agnostic, led a small group that aimed to deconstruct members’ faith.
- • His tactics were effective, as he skillfully persuaded parishioners to adopt Progressive Christian beliefs.
01:28 The contradiction of a pastor identifying as agnostic while promoting progressive Christianity.
- • Agnosticism expresses uncertainty about God’s existence, differing from atheism by being open to possibilities.
- • Despite claiming agnosticism, the pastor continues to advocate for progressive Christianity, which raises concerns about consistency in beliefs.
02:51 Progressive Christianity emphasizes open questioning over definitive beliefs.
- • Being open to change is seen as a mark of spiritual maturity, contrasting with traditional views of faith.
- • The focus on continuous questioning aligns with postmodern views, rejecting absolute truths in favor of subjective interpretations.
04:08 Postmodern influences on church leadership and teachings lead to deceptive practices.
- • The pastor, initially seen as a strong biblical speaker, subtly introduced progressive beliefs.
- • The pastor intentionally concealed his evolving views from the congregation, creating a deceptive atmosphere.
05:27 The speaker’s faith eroded while attending a progressive Christianity class.
- • The speaker and her husband decided to leave the class after recognizing its negative impact on their faith.
- • She reflects on her journey of near-agsticism and reevaluating her understanding of faith deconstruction.
06:41 Challenging conversations undermined her foundational beliefs in the Bible.
- • The pastor’s questions deeply questioned her long-held belief in the Bible as God’s infallible word.
- • Past experiences in street evangelism contrasted with her new doubts, as she previously found confidence in defending her faith.
08:01 Loss of faith rooted in doubts about scripture and personal experiences.
- • Questioned the accuracy of biblical texts, leading to doubts about building a life on them.
- • Struggled with the validity of emotional experiences in worship, realizing similar feelings exist in other faiths.
09:24 A pastor used deception to influence church members to influence church members towards progressive beliefs.
