Who is God? @

Who, What, When, and Where is God made manifest to Us?

Who is God?

God is the Creator (Sustainer,  Designer), a.k.a. Maker, of the Universe and All it contains.

Colossians 1:16

For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

Nehemiah 9:6

Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven,
the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth,
and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein,
and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.

Psalms 19:1 –
The heavens declare the glory of God;
and the firmament sheweth his handywork.

Genesis 1:1-31
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…   (Read More…)

Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse:

Hebrews 1:10
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth;
and the heavens are the works of thine hands:

Isaiah 42:5-6
Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens,
and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth,
and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:   (Read More…)

Genesis 1:26 – And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Genesis 2:7 – And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

John 1:3 KJV

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

What is God?

  1. God is Spirit, so those who worship Him, must worship in Spirit and Truth. (We are Flesh.)
    John 4:24 (KJV) “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
  2. God is Holy. (We by nature are unholy.) Leviticus 19:2
  3. God is Eternal. (We by nature are temporal.) 1 Timothy 1:17
  4. God is All Present. Omnipresent. Psalms 139:7-10

God is Holy.

Leviticus 19:2
… Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy.

This is probably one of the most crucial, and critical attribute that the children of God must seek to grasp a hold of.

This one problematic characteristic can and will be the rise and downfall of many.

The better we see this condition, the better we can prepare ourselves for His Kingdom and His Presence.

Nothing may be more critical than this one issue.

Failure to grasp this one issue can result in total failure in having a truthful relationship with our God, who is Holy.

1 Peter 1:15-16
But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Isaiah 57:15
For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy;
I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit,
to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Leviticus 11:44-47
For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves,
and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves
with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.   (Read More…)

Ephesians 1:4
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,
that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

When is God?

God is Eternal.

God is before All all created things.

He is outside of our Time Frame.

He was there in the beginning, before the beginning.

He is here now, and will be here after the Worlds will end.

1 Timothy 1:17

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Where is God?

God is Omin-Present (ALL-Present)

Psalms 139:7-10 (KJV)

7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit?
or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there:
if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning,
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10 Even there shall thy hand lead me,
and thy right hand shall hold me.

Again, this one point cannot be over emphasized: the crucial part of God is His Holiness. We must see this, seek this, find this, and become this: Even as God has commanded us.

Hebrews 12:14-15 (KJV)
Follow peace with all men, and holiness,
without [HOLINESS] which no man shall see the Lord:
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God;
lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

Aaron’s two oldest sons, who were ordained as the second and third priest in Yahweh’s Tabernacle, were both fried alive, burned to a crisp for not recognizing, nor treating Yahweh as Holy. Another 250, Levites were also burned to a crisp for not treating the Holy things of God according to His Design, according to God’s Perspective, and His Will. These men decided for themselves what they wanted to be in Their Plan, rather than allowing God to decide for them, what He wanted them to be in His plan.

And this scenario has been repeating itself in the lives of people throughout the earth every single day under the sun.

The harsh fact is, many are called, but few are chosen. Why? Because …

Matthew 7:13-14 (KJV) … for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

BELOW IS THE FINAL OUTCOME OF NUMBERS 16:

This is by far the most dramatic and graphically visual demonstration on the subject of “the pit”, the grave, Sheol, Hell, and Hades, that I can think of: A possible 50 people were swallowed alive, and a another 250 men were burned alive in an instant (into a crisp), when the ground opened up, and gulped down the men who did not treat Yahweh as Holy, nor did the men who burned incense respect the Word of his servant Moses, whom Yahweh sent to Lead His people.

Many people’s lives ended pre-maturely (The Families of Korah, Dathan, Abiram, and 250 other Levite men) because they failed to seek and honor God’s Holy Presence Among them.

Numbers 16:28-35 (NKJV) 28 And Moses said: “By this you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works, for I have not done them of my own will. 29 If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the LORD has not sent me. 30 But if the LORD creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit, then you will understand that these men have rejected the LORD.”
31 Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, 32 and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. 33 So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit [Sheol, hades, hell, world of the dead], the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly. 34 Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up also!”
35 And a fire came out from the LORD and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who were offering incense.
