Whose Team are we playing for?

[More about our Team and our Team goals below]

As for Me and My House we will serve the LORD,
Yahweh–Who Is:
The Covenant Keeping God of
All Creation and All Eternity.

[And we can prove that …]

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

What other team could we be playing for?

Remember the Sheep and the Goats?

They were on two different Teams, following the coaching of two different Team Captains.

  • The Sheep were following the Son of God.
  • The Goats were following the Spirit of this Age (Mammon).

Is it not time for us to choose whether or not we want to be about our father’s business, and whether or not we want to play on the winning team, or the losing team.

Is it not deadly important to know for certain, whom we are truly following? The goats were expecting a great big welcome, a big thank you, a big message of appreciation, and a heavenly reward. But what did they get?

A Rejection Notice.

See for yourself:

Matthew 25:31-46 (KJV) 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come [to me], ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Now that is clearly being on the right team, wouldn’t you say? You could call it the winning team, the heavenly rewarded them, the properly functioning team, or some other such analogy, but the end of their road brings them into intimate and eternal fellowship with the Son of God. That is their greatest reward.

Now let’s see what happens to the goats … on his left hand side.

41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: 42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: 43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. 44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

As you can see both teams may have looked similar on the outside, they may have both had uniforms, clothing, haircuts, jobs, families, responsibilities, living lives in their communities, that may have looked outwardly very similar in nature, but these two groups were following to entirely different team captains, and had entirely different internal motives, and the results produced entirely different eternal results.

One team was invited in to the Fathers Eternal Family andHome. They were adopted by the One True LORD of Heaven, the one who Created the Heavens and the Earth, The Sun, Moon, and Stars. The Oceans, Seas, Mountains, and Streams, The Trees, the Air, the Birds, the animals, the plants, the butterflies, kittens, snakes and people. All were made for a purpose. All have a story to tell. All declare his glory to those who have eyes to see, and ears to hear. All are will receive their earned reward in the end.

Some will receive everlasting Joy. Others everlasting sorrow.

Thankfully, there is still some time left for me, and for you, to get our houses in order.

We have a little bit of time to labor, to build our houses upon the Rock, so that when the storms come, the rains fall down, and the rivers rise far higher than we ever expected, and they beat against our house, we will be saved, us and our entire households because we like the sheep in Matthew 25, built our houses, our communities, our schools, our lives upon the Rock.

If you do not recognize that you are on this Team that is standing upon the Rock. Then maybe it is time to investigate everything thing from the beginning to the ending and see if you might not become a worthy vessel of honor and grace, dignity and truth, love and service to those around you, helping yourselves and them to enter in through the narrow gate, and quickly avoid the wide road, that leads to destruction. Get thy feet off that road, as quickly, and as permanently as possible.

That is the Message from Heaven. And if we are on His Team, that should and will be our message as well.

To be honest, there are a number of things that are out of order, in my house.

What about your house is it in perfect order? Most likely not.

Why might that be? One big reason is that we are not sharing the Word of God, the way Jesus and the Father intended us to be sharing it. We are not partaking of the Bread of His Body, nor the Wine of His Blood, the way he intended us to be taking it. We are not becoming One in Him. One with the Father, and One with the Son, and One with each other.

Instead, we are fighting. We are berating. We are indulging in the things of this world, worldly things of the mind, worldly things regarding the Spirit, and worldly things regarding our soul.

Chances are good we are serving Mammon, even if we are “going to church” every Sunday. Yet, Chances are good that we are living like pagans, Monday through Saturday.

Chances are good  … that We are not serving the Bread, which is His Word, in such a way that it transforms our lives the way He intended them to be transformed. Chances are good … that We do not fellowship, nor serve, nor believe, nor labor and work, like the early apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers worked, labored, served, and walking in the Light as He is in the Light, so that we can truly have fellowship with one another, and that the blood of Jesus can truly cleanse from all sin.

1 John 1:5-10 (KJV) 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The truth be told, there may always will be areas of our lives that need continual work, diligence, care and effort. But it is our duty to straighten out what we can and leave the rest up to God to straighten out in his Good Timing.

If this describes your heart desire, then we are on the same team, we are fighting for the same cause, we are listening to and following the same Coach, and loyal to the same Team Captain, and we are sincerely dedicated to taking care if Him, in prison, on the street, in the hospital, in our homes, in our communities, reaching out to the least of these my brethren is a spirit of honor and nobility, grace and humility, that is our calling. May we fulfill it with the Joy He Deserves. Amen.

May our words and our actions both bring glory to the Father, the Son, and the Spirit three in One. May they be empowered by our heavenly calling, our heavenly faith, and the very Word of God, as we carry the very Name of God unto the lost and dying all around us.

Shalom,

May God make heavenly team players of us, that know their duties, and fulfill them with an open and pure heart.

If we truly do these things, they we are already to play on the same team!

So let us do everything in our power to be the winning team we were called to be!

Brother Thomas

PS–of Special note: We are wanting to organize evangelism teams in every city and place that we have connection with other believers. If interested in this subject and work of God, please contact us through this website. And we would like to get in touch with you as the Spirit of God gives us the ability to follow through on this important work.

If you have a warm body, that is all that is necessary for you to participate.

No great demands will be required of you. Everyone will participate at the full level of their desire. No one will be forced or shamed or guilted into doing any work that is not already in their heart. That would be like putting the cart before the horse.

In preparation for such a relationship it would be quite important that we would be able to walk in agreement together, both in the scriptures and in our own natural minds and attitudes and philosophies, etc.

Therefore it would be as the Word says, “Convenient” if you would do a thorough study and reading of what is being presented here to know if such agreement in the Spirit and in the Word would be strong enough to be sharing the ministry of the Word and the Work in a Spirit of Grace and Truth.
