Spiritual Testimonies (Part 1)

Spiritual Warfare

Ephesians 6:12-14 (KJV)

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this world,

against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God,

that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day,

and having done all, to stand.  Stand therefore,

having your loins girt about with truth,

and having on the breastplate of righteousness …

[And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:
but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.]

The Truth be told Demons are real. They can possess a person. Such a person can do their bidding. Demons can use ignorant people to serve them. Speak their spells, teach their demonic secrets, and release their power to do stuff. But the end result is always bad.

Unless you have been fooled to believe Hell is a nice place to  go, and the Lake of Fire is a nice place to spend eternity–it would be wise not to mess with witchcraft.

Moses had conflict with powerful wizards and sorcerers in Egypt. They could even mimic some of the first signs of God.
(Exodus 7:11,

Daniel had conflict with powerful wizards and sorcerers in Babylon, they had him thrown into the Lions Den.
(Daniel 2:2; Daniel Chapter 6;)

King Saul sought out a witch to practice Necromancy (talking to the dead), which was a forbidden practice in Israel.
(1 Samuel 28:7)

You will note that the testimony of the scriptures teach us that magic, witchcraft, and wizardry, are very real, and dangerous mediums, that men can pursue.

But, at the same time, God commands his people not to listen, follow, obey, or pursue any form of witchcraft, fortune telling, false prophecy (that does not originate from Him) even under the threat of death, under the Law of Moses.

No Witchcraft against Jacob …

Darkness leads men away from God.

Light lead men to God.

  • God prepared a body to Give Life
  • Men prepare bodies to take Life

Numbers 23:23a (KJV)

“Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob,
neither is there any divination against Israel:”

Enchantment = Witchcraft (magic, sorcery, wizardry, necromancy, conjuration; hypnotism, mesmerism; occultism, voodoo, the black arts; charms, spells, incantations.

Divination = fortune telling, (divining, foretelling the future, forecasting the future, prophecy, prediction, soothsaying, augury; clairvoyance, second sight; magic, sorcery, witchcraft, spell-working)

The above quote was from a man who was not a part of the family of Israel. He was a prophet of a sort, not officially a prophet of Yahweh, as Moses was. His name was Balaam.

Balaam has a sketchy history, and a deplorable end. Why? Because he was greedy for gain, and not satisfied to be a spokes person for God without worldly compensation. In this regard, Balaam in Moses day, was much like his counterpart, Judas Iscariot in the Gospel, in Jesus’ Day.

Balaam had a divided heart. Part of him wanted to serve God, to get the benefits of God. Part of him wanted to serve man, to get the benefits of men.

Balaam devised a way to technically not speak a false prophecy, but still make some money on the side.

You really need to read the whole story for yourself. Here is another place where the truth is stranger than fiction.

Balaam actually prophesied blessing over Israel, when he was hired by the King of Moab, to curse Israel, the very thing God commanded and warned Balaam not to do. But in the end, Balaam counseled the King on how to get God to curse his own people by drawing God’s People into Moabite Worship and tempting them with sexual sin, a big orgy. Sponsored by Moabite woman.

In the end, Balaam met his own demise, when the Israelites, under Joshua’s Command killed Balaam for what he had done to Israel.

  • Numbers 31:16 (KJV) 16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.
  • Numbers 31:8 (KJV) 8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

When Our Relationship starts with a lie, that makes it tough to be friends.

So True. People want to frame you, to box you into their lie about you, and people are getting bolder and bolder and more aggressive in their efforts to cancel your voice, your perspective, and your contribution to society.

If you don’t adopt their lies immediately, you may be threatened, slandered, and worse. If they will seek to do this to your face, how much worse will they seek to do behind closed doors.

What takes more Faith?

10 to the 82nd power = 10 with 82 zeros behind it.

That represents the estimated known particles in our Universe.

It is estimated that the fine tuning of our Universe to happen by random chance and not by intelligent design, is 10 to the 600th power.
