They call it discipline: Jesus called his followers disciples.
They were constantly doing what they didn’t want to do, but knew that God wanted them to do it.
That’s what distinguished them as disciples of Christ, they literally became living sacrifices.

This next clip may not seem like a gospel clip, specifically, but it embodies, the core essence of relationship, and it is relationship that breathes life into the gospel.

We are called to:

Use things to Love People.

NOT TO:

USE PEOPLE TO LOVE THINGS.

In the gospel, every person who has entered into the kingdom of God, will become your eternal brother and sister in Christ for eternity. Therefore, every choice we make should reflect and radiate the wisdom of God in how we treat one another, because every person we meet is a potential permanent brother or sister in Christ forever. By our choices, and by our actions, we may distance ourselves from those from God has put before us, to invite into the kingdom of God. When we ultimately discover all the missed opportunities that we passed over to share the gospel of Christ, we may see the true tragedy of our lives before God.

THE SECRETS OF GOD’S CREATION: Declare the Nature and Majesty of the Creator.

1 Corinthians 2:8-10 (NIV)

None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had,
they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.  However, as it is written:

  • “What no eye has seen,
  • what no ear has heard, and
  • what no human mind has conceived”—

The things God has prepared for those who love him—
These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

Romans 1:20-23 (KJV)

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
