Ever try to share your point, and then this happens: You get …

  • Ambushed 
  • Trapped
  • Shamed
  • Condemned
  • Mocked, Ridiculed, Scoffed at, Reviled
  • Boxed In, Labeled, Categorized
  • Or Your Mind just goes blank

 

How should you best respond?

  • Answer the Question or the Attack with a Question
  • This allows you to put your main points on the Table
  • Allows you opponent to see (realize, confess, admit to) common ground

First question:  What do you mean by that?
  • EX. What do you mean by evolution means so many different things
  • You have to define your terms, right?

 

Second question:   How did you come to that conclusion?
Third question: Have you ever considered _____?
  • EX. have you ever considered that the evidence that could be you to point to a common ancestor?
  • Could this be equally used to point to a common creator or common designer?
