Can God Hear You?

Does God Hear You?
How can you Know?

See: 1 Minute Clip Below …

1 John 5:14-15 (KJV)

And this is the confidence that we have in him:

that, if we ask any thing according to his will,

he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us,

whatsoever we ask,

we know that we have

the petitions that we desired of him.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

1 John 3:22 (KJV)

And whatsoever we ask,

we receive of him,

because we keep his commandments,

and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

[But it goes deeper than that:  See also: John 14:13-14 ]

Do You speak God’s Language of Heavenly Humility?
(That will help your prayers be heard substantially.)

James 4:6-10 (KJV)

God resisteth the proud,

but giveth grace unto the humble.

  1. Submit yourselves therefore to God.
  2. Resist the devil, and
  3. He will flee from you.

Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.

Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and

Purify your hearts, ye double minded.

  • Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep:
  • let your laughter be turned to mourning,
  • and your joy to heaviness.

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:32 (KJV)

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men,

him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:33 (KJV)

But whosoever shall deny me before men,

him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:37a (KJV)

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me:

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:37b (KJV)

He that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:38 (KJV)

He that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

[But it goes deeper than that:]

Matthew 10:39 (KJV)

He that findeth his life shall lose it:

He that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

That in a nutshell is the Gospel Message: losing your life to find it. That goes against every natural desire and normal life value, that men naturally possess. It is offensive to Men and Women from All Cultures and All Backgrounds.

Doing the Will of the Father is Simple, but it is not Easy. Those are two completely different things.

  • It breaks our normal noble world allegiances to self and family.
  • It calls us to suffer.
  • To be rejected and hated by men,
  • Rather than accepted and loved by men.

That is why Jesus emphasizes the point:

Matthew 5:10-12 (KJV)

  • Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
  • Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
  • Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

That is why Jesus encourages us to focus on doing the will of the father and to see our lives from the eternal perspective of the father.

When we walk in the kingdom of God, we are walking closer to heaven than we are to the Earth.

Our relationships that are built in the kingdom of God are eternal. Never ending. And never changing, in terms of the gospel. Therefore, it is vitally important that our focus be on our treasures in heaven, and not those on the Earth. When we speak for God, and people share an interest in what we say, they are not just sharing an interest in us, but in the one who sent us. That should be our focus, and that shall be our enduring reward:

Matthew 10:40-42 (KJV)

He that receiveth you

  • receiveth me.

He that receiveth me

  • receiveth him that sent me.

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet

  • shall receive a prophet’s reward;

He that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man

  • shall receive a righteous man’s reward.

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.

The Reward Jesus is talking about: Is not a human or worldly reward. It doesn’t come from man, and is not limited to man’s temporary existence.

God is calling His Servants, His Children, to develop an Eternal Vision, to see with A Heavenly Focus, An Infinite Perspective.

Not to Catch this Vision and Perspective will be fatal to your Walk with God.  The more you or I focus on what we can get, or what we deserve in this life–the more we will distance ourselves from what God has and is offering us in His Eternal Life.

One thing we can be assured of if we gain God’s Perspective on Life, Thought, Words, Deeds, Attitudes, and Outcomes: We can be assured that whatever God is offering–it is far more valuable, more reliable and trustworthy, more lasting and enduring, more substantive and good, than anything this World has to offer us.

Matthew 6:19-21 (KJV)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth,

  • where moth and rust doth corrupt, and
  • where thieves break through and steal:

But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,

  • where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and
  • where thieves do not break through nor steal:

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

When we begin to see ALL that Jesus is saying, is coming from an eternal perspective, and an eternal value system, based on eternal relationships with God and others, then we will begin to see who we really are, and why we are here, and where we are going, and what the cost will be for us to endure to the end. Without these primary understandings and primary foundational pillars sunk deep into our lives and faith, we will be like waves in the sea, tossed and torn, and blown about by every wind that comes along.

That’s an apt description of the modern church, and the modern church goer: that tries to follow fashion, and popular trends, and a modern style, along with man-made traditions and structures, and man-made teachings.

All of these are of zero worth in the kingdom of God. When we focus on feelings, rather than truth, we dishonor the gospel. When we are more concerned about what people think about us, than what God thinks about us, we have already lost the battle. When we begin to see that souls walking all around us, are headed towards a cliff, and about to fall into a lake of fire–How can we be complacent?

How can we just standby and watch one after another drop into the fire? How can we say we love God, and love his word? And not proclaim the way of salvation to those on the brink of diving to their death? How can we just standby and be silent? How can we just say nothing to them to deter them: what kind of love is that??

The word of God commands us to compel them to come to the wedding feast of God. (Matthew 22) It compels us to tell them that the feast is prepared. All that God is waiting for is the full number of guests who have been invited to come in and take their place. Have you ever wondered why God hasn’t returned yet? Or why you still living in a crazy world it’s doing evil things and harming so many souls every hour?

Well, if we look at that situation from the eyes of God, and the perspective of heaven, we can know this is the merciful and generous heart of God that is waiting for the full number of people to respond to his invitation. Once the full number has been reached, the gates of the wedding banquet will be shut. And no more will be allowed in. A new age will begin. We should be thankful that we still have a little more time to reach more people.

What more important of work could we do between now and the day we die?

The true person proclaims the word of God. He does not focus on the outward things in this world that are temporary and passing away. His number one focus is on the eternal truth of the gospel. He warns his listeners about the judgment of God. He teaches his hearers about the fear of the Lord. He calls his audience to repent of their sins. He teaches his students about the heavenly language of humility, and intimacy with God. He earnestly encourages his disciples to begin praying in faith, believing God for salvation, healing, transformation, deliverance, power to overcome all evil, and boldness to declare God’s word to the lost.

If we have these things deeply rooted and grounded in our lives, and we allow the scriptures that have just been shared, to become like the fabric of our thoughts, words, and deeds, then nothing will be too difficult for us.

Matthew 13:44 (KJV)

Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
