Why am I here? @
Great Question!
This can be easy to answer or difficult to answer … depending on one’s assumptions and prejudices, one must to work through to get to a confident answer.
This is probably the most powerful and subjective of the first three questions. The First Question is the most general, but also possibly the most foundations question we can answer. The second question is a little more specific, but also it is general in nature. This third question is specific, and powerful to answer with confidence. Answering this question specifically and directly, can radically empower the person answering it, to be a marked and powerful overcomer in Christ Jesus.
To answer this question confidently we must have a firm foundation in answering: Where do I come from? And, Where am I going? If we already know:
- We come from God, and are created in his image and
- We are going to God, to be a part of HIS eternal holy family.
- Then we can be confident that: We are called to be Overcomers,
and Agents of God’s Light in a world filled with darkness.
Now answering the question: Why am I here? will be pretty straight forward.
If we know we have been called by his name, according to His Eternal Record,
We also know that we are called to do His Will.
We will find our joy and passion,
When we fully and completely commit to Enter into His Kingdom and
Take up our Cross to Follow in His Footsteps.
Then, the next question becomes: What is God’s Will, and how important is it for me to follow it?
Let’s address the importance level first: It is absolutely important that we do God’s Will according to God’s Perspective, if we every wish to be a part of God’s Eternal Kingdom (which begins in our lives here on earth, and progresses through into our lives in his Holy Heaven.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?
and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

As you can see from above. The Critical Factor for You or I entering into the Kingdom of Heaven, the make or break deal maker is whether or not, we Do the WILL OF HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN?
- IF We do His Will, Then we are in.
- IF We don’t do His Will, Then we are out.
That is as simple as you please. It is a conditional situation. We meet the conditions:: We enter the Kingdom. We don’t meet the conditions:: we don’t enter the Kingdom.
Thankfully, the conditions are simple and clear enough that a child can understand them and agree to them.
The problem is the majority of adults will be swayed away from the simplicity of the promise, due to the hardening of their own hearts, minds, wills, sins, lusts, and addictions to such things that will negate their “Doing the will of the Father is Heaven.” It is those very addictions that will keep them out of the will of God, out of the kingdom of heaven.
Finally, Our Happy (or Blessed) Reason for being here, since we came from God, and are returning to God, is intimately intwined with our relationship with God and with other people made in the Image of God.
In essense, we are in a testing ground, where will will decide where we will choose to spend eternity, and whom we will choose to become our eternal leader, teacher, master and Lord for all eternity.
Don’t get me wrong. People who choose to follow God–they will suffer, and often suffer greatly in this world. Why Because they have chosen to rebel agains the ruler of this world. They have chosen to reject the leadership (lies, lusts, and favors) of the evil rulers, put in place by the enemy of God–to keep people in bondage to the ruler of this Present Darkness.
AS such, We will suffer the consequences of our decision, just as Jesus, Stephen, James (the brother of John), James the half-brother of Jesus, Peter, Paul, John, and the rest of the apostles who gave their lives so the sake of the Gospel, and for the Savior, so that all those in their generation would be able hear and discover the Love, Power, Faithfulness, and Forgiveness of God, giving them a new life in the Spirit, that far out shined anything this world could ever have given them, and in the future, They will indulge in their Eternal Rewards, stored up for them in Heaven. Giving them the greatest promise: Salvation from the Eternal Wrath of God.
To more fully understand God’s will, One should definitely consider taking the “GOOD PERSON TEST”.
That in itself will quickly help an individual understand, and value the Character, and Nature of God, and the position of man before God.
